Contemporary dance πŸ’ƒ

Contemporary dance

Contemporary dance is a dynamic and evolving form of dance that emerged in the mid-20th century as a reaction against the structured movements of classical ballet and modern dance. It incorporates a variety of techniques, including elements from ballet, modern dance, jazz, and even other art forms such as theater and performance art. Unlike traditional styles, contemporary dance emphasizes self-expression, improvisation, and the use of the body in creative ways to explore a wide range of emotions, ideas, and stories.

One of the defining features of contemporary dance is its freedom and flexibility. Dancers are encouraged to push boundaries, experimenting with different movements and ways of interacting with space, both on the floor and in the air. The focus is on individual expression, where dancers can interpret music or abstract concepts in their own unique way. This contrasts with more traditional forms where there is often a prescribed set of movements or routines.

Additionally, contemporary dance is highly influenced by the world around it, incorporating current events, cultural shifts, and social issues into its performances. It often tackles complex and challenging themes, including identity, politics, and human relationships. This makes contemporary dance a versatile and powerful medium for artistic expression, allowing both the performer and the audience to engage in a deeper dialogue about the world they live in.

Overall, contemporary dance is not just a style of movement but a powerful form of artistic and emotional communication, offering both dancers and audiences a chance to explore the complexities of the human experience through the body and movement.

There are 5 characteristics of contemporary dance. Many of these principles are first seen in the work of the early modern dance pioneers, such as Martha Graham, Isadora Duncan and Jose Limon.

  • Use of Breath and body awareness.
  • Opposition.
  • Contraction and release.
  • Spiral.
  • Fall and Recovery.
  • Suspension and momentum.
  • Use of parallel and turnout.
  • Versatility and eclecticism.

My Favourite Novel.πŸ”–πŸ“–

My Favourite Novel

Even though I don't read books as a hobby, my favorite book among the ones I read was Oliver Twist. This novel is a story I read when I was a child, and I still love that story from my childhood.

I had written a summary of this novel when I was a child. Based on that memory, I decided to create a blog about it. I would like to briefly describe it below.πŸ”–πŸ“–

My hero 😎

 My Mother

My hero is MY MOTHER , so strong and so kind,

With a heart full of love, and a brilliant mind.

She lifts me up when the world pulls me down,

Turns every frown into a smile, no matter the sound.

Her hands have worked wonders, both gentle and true,

Her wisdom a light that guides me through.

She whispers of courage in moments of fear,

And in her warm embrace, everything feels near.

She’s the strength in my bones, the song in my soul,

Her love, the force that makes me whole.

Through every storm, she stands tall and bright,

A beacon of hope, my guiding light.

My hero is my mother, in every way,

She’s the one who helps me face each new day.

With her by my side, I know I’ll be strong,

For in her love, I truly belong.

And I say, I love you MOM.πŸ’–

Twin sistersπŸ’•

 My Twin Sister

I can say that the bond between twin brothers and sisters is the strongest and most beautiful bond that goes beyond any other bond. Because it's a different kind of bond that others can't imagine. From the day we emerged from the womb, in the same embryo, at the same time, in the same way, until now, my sister and I have been doing everything together. My sister is only 3 minutes older than me. Her name is Dilmi Shehana.

In a way, I think it was a meritorious deed that my sister and I were born as twin sisters. My sister is my strength. She is a much stronger person than me. When we go on a trip, we dress the same and go the same way. Since we were little, our mother dressed us in the same clothes. We got used to that and still wear the same clothes today. Most of the time, we both think the same way. Even if we go to buy something, we choose something else that we like.

If one of us gets sick, the other one will definitely get sick too. One thing everyone asks us is whether we're going to get along. Yes, we get along, I'm not going to lie and say we don't get along. But like normal siblings, we don't get along for a long time. We don't even get along for 5 minutes before we become friends.

However, the only thing I know is that my sister and I have a very strong bond. If one of us has a problem, the other one helps us. Even in school, we didn't have any new friends. We were always there for each other. Even today, my best friend is my sister.

When we went to school, everyone would get into trouble with us. If I remember one incident, when we were going to cast our vote, we were accused of casting our vote twice. Later, when they found out that we were twin sisters, they laughed at us.πŸ˜… There were also times when our family members couldn't recognize us at first. When we were little, our mother would accidentally bathe and feed the same child twice, breastfeed the same child twice, and things like that would happen.πŸ˜„

I wish that my sister and I will always be my sister in every life. I also thank my mother for carrying me and my sister in her womb and giving birth to us, even though it was difficult. I love my sister very much.πŸ’•

Women's DayπŸ‘©

 The Importance of  Women's Day

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th every year to recognize the efforts and struggles of women around the world. This day highlights the need for gender equality and empowers women to achieve their dreams.

For many years, women were not given equal rights in education, jobs, and decision-making. However, today, women have proven their abilities in every field. Leaders like Kiran Bedi (India's first female IPS officer), Malala Yousafzai (education activist), and Mary Kom (boxing champion) have shown that women can achieve anything.

Despite progress, many women still face discrimination, low wages, and fewer opportunities. Women's Day reminds us to support equal rights, stop violence against women, and encourage girls to follow their dreams. Schools and workplaces should promote awareness about women's rights, leadership, and empowerment.

A nation cannot develop fully without empowering its women. Educated and independent women improve families, contribute to the economy, and inspire the next generation. Governments and organizations must take steps to ensure equal pay, leadership opportunities, and legal protection for women.

A world where women can grow and shine is a world where everyone benefits. Therefore, it is the duty of all of us to respect and protect women every day, not just limit the appreciation of women to one day.

Challenges Women Face

Despite their achievements, many women still face discrimination, wage gaps, domestic violence, and societal restrictions. In some parts of the world, girls are still denied education and forced into early marriages. Gender inequality prevents societies from achieving full growth and prosperity.

How We Can Support Women?

  • Encourage Girls' Education - Every girl has the right to learn and build a future.
  • Raise Awareness About Gender Equality - Schools and workplaces should promote equal opportunities.
  • Support Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders - Women should be encouraged to lead and innovate.
  • Speak Up Against Discrimination - If you see unfair treatment, don't stay silent.

How I spend my weekend?πŸ˜‡

How I spend my weekend?

My first job on Saturday is to take my dance class. I start my dance class at 10 o’clock and continue it until 2 in the afternoon. This Saturday, my sister had to go to a party, so I helped her get ready from two o’clock. I styled her hair. I chose jewelry. I did lot of think like that. In the meantime, I ate rice for both breakfast and lunch at around 3 o’clock. Saturday was a busy day. After doing all this work, I washed up around 4 p.m. took a nap. I got up around 6 p.m., lite the Buddha lamp, and started doing group activities on campus.

I had dinner around 8 p.m. and started my work again. Then watched some tv movies and fell sleep around 12 p.m.

The next day is Sunday. My day off, to be exact. I can only be free on this day. Because there are no lectures, no classes. Sunday is a day off for everyone in our house. In the morning, I watch cartoons. From childhood, my sister, my brother and me never stopped watching cartoons, no matter how old we are. We have tea in the morning, eat breakfast, and start cleaning the house. After doing some washing, we spend a little time together as a family.

After lunch at around 12 noon, l review the lessons in the afternoon theory class. On Sunday evenings, I teach theory classes for general education students. I set aside Sunday evenings for the children in my class. After finishing my classes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., I started doing group activities on campus again. I joined a zoom meeting with the university members in the group and did most of that.

At around 10, I had dinner, washed up, and went to bed. I prepared the necessary arrangements to go sing at a wedding reception the next morning.🌞
